The Griffin Lab conducts clinical research aimed at identifying people at risk for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and developing strategies to delay or prevent the disease before symptoms appear. Through clinical trials, researchers evaluate therapies that can delay or prevent disease onset.
By combining clinical expertise, translational research, and patient-centered care, the lab connects scientific discoveries with real-world approaches that improve screening, monitoring and prevention of autoimmune diseases.
Collaboration is central to the lab’s approach, with close partnerships among researchers, clinicians and institutions worldwide. Through these partnerships, the lab is helping to shape a future where T1D can be detected earlier, treated more precisely, and ultimately prevented.
