Andrew Burich, DVM
Dr. Burich earned his bachelor’s degree in zoology and his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin — Madison. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in laboratory animal medicine at the University of Washington’s Department of Comparative Medicine, where he also earned a thesis-based master’s degree in comparative medicine. In 2002, he achieved board certification through the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.
Before joining BRI in 2005, he served as a senior clinical veterinarian and assistant professor in the Department of Comparative Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. He continues to share his expertise as an affiliate instructor in the Department of Comparative Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Burich is a diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine and a certified professional in IACUC administration.
