Benaroya Research Institute Names Two New Advisory Board Members

Benaroya Research Institute (BRI), a world leader in human immunology research, welcomed the additions of Jan Beck, MSc, and Gretchen Schoenstein to its advisory board. Comprised of community leaders, including scientists, doctors, and people impacted by autoimmune diseases, Jan and Gretchen augment the board’s expertise, advancing BRI’s mission to predict, prevent, reverse and cure diseases of the immune system.

Jan, a partner in EMB Investment Group, has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Working at multinational companies in Europe and the United States, Jan has established financial and operational systems in complex and dynamic business environments to support strategic decision making. He earned his master’s degree in business and economics from the Copenhagen Business School.

Gretchen, founder and CEO of Finish Line Moments Coaching and Consulting, is a half-marathon runner, an autoimmune disease warrior, and an award-winning speaker with more than two decades of experience in leadership development and talent management. Her career spans large and small technology firms, nonprofits, advocacy groups, start-ups, and educational foundations and includes experience in the finance, health care, hospitality and beauty industries. Gretchen is a graduate of the University of Washington.
