Zoie Franklin
Zoie is a native Seattleite who got her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Western Washington University and Biotechnology Lab Specialist Certification from Shoreline Community College. She started at Fred Hutch in the Specimen Processing & Research Cell Bank Core before transferring to the Bleakley Lab, where she led the genotyping project for the Phase I Study of the HA-1 TCR T Cell Immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory acute leukemia after donor stem cell transplant. Zoie joined the BRI team in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, and has been working with Dr. Mikacenic to better characterize the myeloid cell subsets of patients with ventilator associate pneumonia and/or acute respiratory distress syndrome.
