Mr. Hughes has been an advisor to business owners, corporate directors, and management teams for more than 33 years as an investment banker and financial consultant. His experience includes completing public and private financings, corporate governance advisory services, and mergers and acquisitions for a variety of healthcare service providers, medical device companies, specialty pharmaceutical firms, and medical information technology organizations, as well as for companies in the consumer products, financial services, manufacturing, and business services sectors. He is currently a Managing Director for BlackTorch Capital, LLC, a boutique investment bank. Previously, Mr. Hughes was a Certified Public Accountant and he is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia and his MBA from Columbia University. Mr. Hughes serves on the Finance Committee.
